The meeting is scheduled to be held from September 26 - 30, 2004, at the UCLA Conference Center at Lake Arrowhead, CA. The facility will provide group meals, in a private dining area so the participants will have maximum opportunities for mingling and informal discussions. At this time of year, the surrounding area provides hiking and other outdoor activities which could be used during free time in the early afternoon, before poster sessions. The facility offers four tennis courts, a putting green, a swimming pool and heated jacuzzis, and acres of virgin forest and shoreline. The guest rooms are duplex cabins with a bed and private bathroom on each story. Each room contains a fireplace.

GETTING THERE:

The Conference Center is located high in the San Bernadino Mountains, just two hours from Los Angeles and San Diego, about one hour away from Ontario International Airport (see the directions below). Chartered buses will leave from LAX on Sunday afternoon, September 26th, and will return at (11:00 am) and after lunch (1:15 pm) Thursday, September 30th. The charge for the bus is included in the registration fee, so there is no extra charge. The buses will leave from LAX at 2:30, and 3:30 on Sunday, September 26th. There are shuttle buses at every LAX terminal to go to Lot C (about 15 minutes, including wait for the bus). Please arrange to arrive in time for the buses, namely, either the day before, for a flight arrival by 1:30 on Sunday for the first bus, or 2:30 for the second bus.
